Comet Records is an independent record company based in La Spezia, Italy. Founded by music business veterans and vinyl estimators Giorgio and Enrico Mangora in 1998, Comet has rapidly become a successful entity, renown all over the world.

The widely acclaimed Akarma rock label has brought now more than 150 titles to the Italian and international markets, great albums from rare or out-of-catalog repertoires. This is the stuff music history was made from: '60s and '70s famed and sought after rock productions that dwelled for years on the collectors' market at impossible prices, have now become available on Akarma and on the other labels by Comet.

The secret of Comet Records's amazing success not only lies in the quality of the featured titles, but also in the high standard of the mastering and packaging.

Superb 20-bit digital remastering, virgin 180gms vinyls and accurate transfer process ensure a spectacular playback sound for both CDs and LPs, while heavy paper covers (reproduced according to the '60s/'70s standards) and smart digipacks have set a new record in stylish packaging for Cds and LPs.

Many albums and CDs come in double, triple and even four-section gatefold-cover packagings. Also available for our CDs is the new Karmapack jacket, a downsized version of the 12" album covers, while our splendid box sets have received rave reviews on all the major specialized magazines and fanzines.
